I got one of those on my Taylor. With the coffee stain rings in behind.
And I have played Martin's and Taylors. I went with the Taylor because I thought it sounded better and plaed better. The Martin I played was an HD-28. I ust didn't like the feel of it. But it's all a matter of opinion.
All I have to say is if you've ever played one of their cedar models, I don't think you'll think the same way about Martin's. I am not a huge fan of a bright spruce guitar, but the cedar really fills out the tone and gives a nice warm bass response. If you're just in to the typical dreadnaught sounds, I'd agree that Martin is probably a little better, although I haven't heard these new voice dreadnaughts from Taylor, so I don't know if that's still true. But my Taylor 714 is more responsive than any Martin I've played, at least that I can remember.

Oh c'mon, Kanter, I *love* the Taylor v. Martin pissing match. There are always new and interesting viewpoints, and both sides of the debate are always so open-minded.

i know this isnt on topic but i just got some new strings and im having some trouble tuning, my tuner keeps saying that with a little turn it moves up or down an octave... if i break an elixir im gonna kill myself lol.. anyone got any tips?

what's the tension like? tight or loose?
throw on a Dave song like Crash or Typical situation to tune your Low E string.
its tight, but my tuners kinda weird. and i know the last time i restrung a guitar it was my 12 string and when i was tuning the lower g string it snapped. those were ghs, and it wasnt a big deal, but if i snap the elixir... anyway its either too high or too low. really annoying
