just got back, experience of a lifetime. right up front...lasting impressions:

1.daves voice was so raw it was just plain sexy. everyone had wet pants :P
2.the HD28 sounds better than the taylors
3.dave is an exceptionally strange person. fine line between genius and well, you know
4. I did not give the some devil album enough credit
5.organic food is overrated, but hippies are cool anyways
6.Arlo Guthrie is in fact still alive
7.Willie Nelson is famous for no reason
8.NJ sucks balls

Im watching the vid rite now and the guitar is f-ing awesome! Such a great sound

I thought it was a Dm3md until you said something...i thought i was seeing the red in the headstock, but then i rememberd that the dm3md is staright up acoustic...unless he had fishman hook him up.

I don't think so....When he used the DM3MD for the beatles tribute and for letterman or leno or one of those...he had a pickup mounted on the soundhole, but the one he used last night was plugged in like a piezio would be....like i said...unless he put a piezio in the DM3MD...

the video is too damn small to see the red in the headstock....and i think the DM3MD looks more yellow-ish.

it was an hd-28v, you can tell by the body shape and the small butterbean tuners. you can also tell on the video because it is a two-piece back, whereas the dm3md is a 3 piece.

that is some of the craziest shit ive ever seen. whether you enjoy the man's work or not, to deny his influence and talent is absolutely absurd. not to mention the man is now 73 years old, what more do you want from him?
