Cheap Guitars?

Hey guys,
My mom is heading to India for a week or so, and I was wondering if anybody knew if one could buy really elegant and quality guitars there for cheap. I'd imagine you could, but I was just curious if any of you might know..... thanks!

for acoustics, i hear alvarez's are really nice and not expensive... counsult fatjack on that one

for cheaper elecrtics, i would go with an epiphone or a mexican fender

stay away from squiers <---

Not to say those aren't good cheap guitars, but he is looking for ones from India I believe...

i'm just curious if by some complete stroke of luck one of you has been to indian music shops, as I'd imagine they'd have some sweet cheap guitars - and yeah, my mom is there, so i can always call her and be like "Yo, buy me a fancy ass indian guitar...." and she'd be like "Werd." Because my mom is ghetto. Indian ghetto.
