quick help, what song is this????

Post by mattinbeloit »

So i was messing around tonight and came up with what I thought was a cool little lick, but the more I messed with it the more I felt like I had heard it before. It hit me that it was a Dave song I think, I just can't think of which one, maybe a cover. I pluggged my guitar in quick and recorded this, someone help me it's driving me nuts....

Ya know what immediately popped into my head? It's not exactly it, but it's what your lick reminded me of: "After An Afternoon" by Jason Mraz . . .

It might not be a dave song, I'll listen to that.

-edit- I have never heard that song but it is deffinantly the same, just a little lower, im capo'ed on the 4th fret. I still think there's a dave song in there...

I don't know what key you're in, but that third note is a half step higher in Mraz's tune. Other than that, it's identical, although the rhythm is different.

Hmmm... it kinda reminded me of Crash Into Me, but I don't think it's a DMB riff. At least I haven't heard it before.

it's deff. not the yes song. my brother said it sounds like 3 or 4 worship songs. and it's a common type of riff.
