Taylor or Lakewood?

Unread post by jacobie423 » Sun Sep 10, 2006 4:32 pm

Okay, so I'm thinking of getting a better guitar (I currently own a Taylor 414). Here are my options:

1. A Taylor 714ce (fishman matrix) for $1700
2. A Lakewood M32 for $1600
3. Stick with the Taylor 414 for $0

I'm torn between the first two. Help!

I like the sound of the Lakewood better than the 714. But I think the sound of the 414 compares very well with both those guitars. I'd stick with the 414 and use the money to get a 455ce. But that's just me.

i dont think you should limit yourself to such a small list, play around for awhile and try some different brands. Play guitars and ignore the headstock while you do so.

and this may help a little with the decision: http://www.dmbtabs.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=28021

What he said. Also look at some Larrivee, Takamine, Breedlove, and maybe some Martins. It's a big purchase, so play around and have fun!

Lakewood.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?
