Hardest part of a song

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Gawd. I fucked with that song for more than a year before I could get the stretches and slides quick and accurate enough.

Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead

TS was hard for me at first, just to sing and play at the same time, i have got it down now. but i think Billies or BOWA, maybe the stone, was the hardest for me to learn... and make it sound good.

I think that I have counted 60 Dave songs that I can play (including live songs and some covers). I am not saying that I can play all of them right, but I have no life.
Anyhoo...The verse for Billies is kinda hard for me. I have really long, flexible fingers so songs like Captain are not too hard. I still have trouble with some parts of Recently, the bridge from Drive in, Drive Out, playing The Stone like Dave does, BOWA, and singing while playing Grace is Gone.

Any thoughts, if not

peace

Crush has eluded me for months the timig and the changes are a bith for me. I can play most of his other tough ones though, like WWYS, STONE, Billies, #41, Rhyme and Reson.

yeah same with me but with the lyrics... hard to remember all of Dave's word. I think sometimes it's even hard for him

Download the storytellers version of crush and you can hear the timing of the chords much easier.

I got Billies down about 80% cleanly within a month after constant practice. Stone still gives me problems, and I get lazy on Warehouse sometimes. #41, BOWA and R&R came easy to me oddly enough. I'm currently working on WWYS, Warehouse, SG and Crush, all are so much fun to play.

I acutally don't have probs with the stone I can play it well and it sounds good to me. But I have problems with playing it like Dave does. He's constantly strumming with his right hand. I kind of have probs with mutings all the strings that are not supposed to ring while strumming
