I think I need to redo the outro solo... it's a bit messy. Thoughts?

Any comments on the mix? Should any of the voices be brought out more?

Thanks,
Ben

I love the way you did this with the percussion. The only thing i would say is the percussion does sound a little shallow on top of the cello, i would nudge the bass up a little bit on the percussion, even though its not necessarily meant to be a thumping track, it should be a little deeper and louder imo.

I think the outro is pretty awesome and doesnt sound messy to me at all. Which was a little unexpected, as i was listening mid song i expected it to be a bit messy, for whatever reason. but it sounded spot on to me.

Its fucking amazing as always, but my new years resolution is to try and give you some kind of constructive criticism instead of just praising you.

Little things that I'm going to be wary about, and I mostly wouldn't bring this up, but for your caliber it's the little things that can be the most annoying :P.

In some of the beginning phrasing when you're imitating the vocals, some of the ends of the phrases seemed to have a slight intonation problem (very minimal and especially well considering the instrument that you're playing) and I'm mostly thinking this is just a fault of my own ear. I'll listen over it again and pay particular attention to it. (Just listened to it again, and it is does sound a little off).

Most likely the mix, but I don't really like how much the percussion bit stuck out, it seemed a bit too overpowering for it outside the chorus.

You did very well with the multiple cello parts during the chorus, I felt like they complimented each other very well. Excellent job on that, definately a favorite part of this cover.

I agree somewhat with your solo being a bit messy. It's nothing a little more practice wouldn't fix though (or hell, I don't think practice is necessary, probably just another run through). The high run you do with the solo isn't necessarily my cup of tea, but I still appreciate if very much- you have quite the beautiful techinque on this instrument.

Overall, I think you are an amazing musician. I am amazed by all the songs I've heard you do, particularly with the cello. I've always been quite fond of it and I am very jealous of your skill in it.
