Who want's to go pro?

Anyone here looking at becoming a pro musician, engineer, etc ? Any of you high schoolers looking at going to a music school? Discuss you fears and intrepidations here.

I might minor in it. If I don't, I'll definitely take some guitar lessons. I'll need them if I want to get really good at improvising.

practice makes you good at improvising, a teacher can show you the guidelines, improvisation cant be taught

What exactly is music tech? Is it learning how to work in a studio? I would have assumed you would do something more performance oriented.

I just want to learn some scales and learn different styles of playing, like classical, blues, and jazz as opposed to simply rock, which is about all the improv I can do now.

eh. probably not. maybe later, being my own sound engineer and writing my own soundtracks. i'll be (hopefully) studying 3D animation in Vancouver Film School, and if i do rather well, i can combine a lot of my passions- writing, music, filmmaking. the credits will be rather boring, though. just my main most of the time.

I want to play guitar for the rest of my life right now...i really could care less about making money or anything like that. i'm surprised about that too. in my 18 years on earth, we've always done fairly well, never had to need for anything, but we could always use a little more money to help fix this or that...you'd think that'd make me a more money loving person...but i don't even care. i just want to play music. i hope someone likes it.
