This is the place to talk about guitar playing not done by Dave! Topics about techniques, styles, theory, and other guitarists go here.

Hey everyone!
This site is really the best when it comes to Dave's music, but lately I have been wanting to learn more about music theory. Don't get me wrong, I have a blast playing DMB music, but I want to expand my knowledge and I feel like I can't do that by just playing DMB all of the time. I would really appreciate it if you guys could point me in the right direction as to where I could find some cool websites that deal with basic guitar instruction/lessons. I've already dabbled a little bit with guitar one's online stuff. Well, any help would be appreciated..... :D

take it easy....

Kyle

Besides the fabulous theory discussion that grave pointed you to :) these also might be of some use.

Some really good stuff there. It's really dense, and it might take a little while to get a hang of, but it's a very solid introduction to theory as it applies to the guitar.
