Hey, I'm just curious to hear some opinions on this guitar before I buy. So far I've been told that for the price, its the best thing out there. It has amazing volume and sustain for a small guitar with hpl textured sides and back, and has a modest appearance. Any positive/negative thoughts?
my brother has it, it's deffiniatly a nice guitar for not all solid wood. but it really does have a great sound, i just recorded a demo using it. i have a crappy mic, but they're still sound samples if you want to hear.
A lot of people here seem to believe that there are better options in that price range. Namely, you can get an all solid guitar with the same money. You are actually paying a lot for the brand...
i don't know. for that price, i would check out Alvarez or washburn.
never buy a low end martin or taylor. they are made with laminate back and sides but you are paying a little more because of the name on the headstock.
for the same price, you can get a solid wood body. you will be a lot happier in the end.

I personally own a 000-X1 and couldnt be happier with it. Me and my friend were jamming the other day and he has a HD-28. And even he said that it sounded fantastic. To me it sounds better than some real wood guitars. And yes you are paying a little more for the brand, but your paying for a name you can trust.
thanks, philtheman. I went to gc yesterday and played the x1 and some other martins and taylors, and the sound is comparable. I've always liked smaller body guitars, but I'm still undecided.
I have had the X1 for quite some time. The sound is and was incredible. I like the small body size, and when you first get it it has a wonderful smell. Aside form smells I would really recommend this Geetar!
