I have a question

Post by matzopubator »

I have an Alvarez RF20SC and I seem to be having problems with feedback. No matter what amp I use, feedback is still a problem if I want to be heard at all or if I want to be near the amp at all. Is there any equipment I can buy to fix this problem? Thanks

i don't know much about the guitars, but i know that they make sound hole muters that are supposed to fix the problem i think. they look like sound hole amps/sound hole humidifiers, but they mute all sound coming out of the sound hole and they are supposed to help w/ feedback.

it's not really a soundhole muter. you'd be surprised how much soound still is produced when you have one of them in. i have an internal mic on one guitar and there is no tone difference over the PA with the feedback buster in. but they do help tremendously for feedback issues. for sure.

yeah a little. but more so i just find a lot of misinformation out there that i fall victim too. i didn't buy a feedback buster just cuz i thought it woulld make the guitar sound like *thud*. so yes and no.

but man, you know i got nothing but love for my brethren at DMBTABS.
