I thought the performance all around(13, leather pants) was pretty good. I could def. not play what he played on my guitar or(whatever he was playing) on a violin. Plus, i'm pretty sure boyd was classically trained and was nowhere intersted in playing a cover of "watchtower" at any time.
And in defense of the (13r old) boy, i'm sure his agent or mother mad him where those leather pants.

I"m with you paul, i thought that kid kicked ass.

play a 4 string normal violin.

then play a 6 string FRETTED violin.

seriously both those two things make it easier to play.

I agree with Miguell, that performance did nothing for me.

And I wish people would stop falling over and lying down on stage at the end of their song, it's so played out.

isnt that technically a 4 stringed mandolin, since it has frets?

6 stringed. and no it isnt since mandolins have 8 strings. The thing boyd is playing is technically a fretted violin.

I just watched this for the first time. Why doesn't he just play the guitar if he's going to play the violin just like a guitar with a bow?
