Oddly enough, I saw John Fogerty play Centerfield on a guitar that was made to look like a baseball bat...but it was an electric, and a gimmick.

The yamaha apx series is the worst guitar i've owned. I imagine this smaller version of it is even worse.

I saw this guitar in the new Musician's Friend catalog and I was about to throw it out as a suggestion too. Interesting design...anyone played one of these?

Looks like it is tuned from A to A (like having a capo on the 5th fret of a standard guitar). This may turn some away, or appeal to those looking for easier access to raised B tuning. Also not cheap. $599.99 at Musiciansfriend.com.

Here is some more info:

* Single cutaway small Wing-series acoustic
* Offset paisley soundhole
* Tuned from A to A
* Solid Western cedar top
* Solid mahogany back and sides
* Bolt-on one-piece mahogany neck
* Rosewood fingerboard
* 19.1" scale
* 21 frets
* Mahogany peghead with branded Tacoma logo
* Graphtech TUSQ nut
* Compensated saddle
* Tone Shaped bridge
* Voiced-support bracing system
* Rosewood bridge
* Chrome tuners
* 1.875" nut width
* Light natural satin finish
* Includes gig bag
* .012 to .052 strings
