People, Matt has nothing to prove. He is a professional musician. He has been extremely helpful to alot of people on these boards, including myself. He knows what he is talking about when it comes to guitar set-up and repair.
He was only showing a photo of a press fit bushings....and if you are going to post a photo of a headstock that has them, why not post a nice one? I do not see where he did anything wrong.....lay off the guy.

thanks taylordb...i come back to these boards for a bit and a pack of wolves circled my wagon!

let's just hope that the original poster is taking his guitar to a qualified luthier or repair tech. as i mentioned before, if he put a wrench to the bushings, he's stripped them out and that's it. now that's an even more expensive repair.

if the original poster is reading this and wants to fix the job himself, he can buy some good CA glue (medium viscosity) or titebond from stew-mac.com and dab the bushings with a "frayed" toothpick. Just a couple dabs will do. Then push the bushing back into its original place (or as close as possible) and wipe the excess glue/squeezage from the face of the headstock.

Fighting fire with fire are we? Don't be offended if people call you something and you're only going to throw something back at them. Makes your point- well, pointless.

Either way, the advice you did post was useful :P
