soo ive become so used to some suprise/ something special happening at most of the shows, that i looked at the last couple and was like 'thats weak'
but then i listened to some of the concerts i was at in 05 (summer and winter).. and realized that those set lists were much weaker, and i still love listening to them, and i still had a blast being there.
basically my point is that im going to pull my head out of my ass and stop expecting the incredible everynight, and enjoy how awesome all of these shows have been even without a new debut or a #40 or w.e.
just thought id share that ahha
P.s. im reallly baked!

I was there. Some realllllly good highlights in there, but to be honest, I was disappointed overall. After seeing some of these AMAZING setlists I was expecting greater. I think tomorrow night will outshine this one. Pig, So Right, Break Free, Idea of You, Sister (new fav of the new songs), and The Dreaming Tree were great. Some other songs that were played are good, but I have heard them a ton. Proudest Monkey was a treat, but then it was droning to have it go into Satellite and Crash. Was this a Bat Mitzvah? I dunno. I guess I am being overcritical. Great show overall. Boyd had too much spotlight time tonight. I can't wait for tomorrow because the energy was great, but the set should be better tomorrow
Just got in. Dreaming Tree is so fucking awesome live. Pig, So Right, Lie In, and Proudest Monkey were show highlights for me. The new songs are much better live. Break Free is better now, Idea of You was amazing.
Other than that, I've seen the rest of these songs way too many times. Time for bed, and then another show tomorrow

I’m gonna rule this world. I’m gonna kick some ass. I’m gonna rise up, gonna kick a little ass. Rock, flag, and eagle!"
looked like a creeper of a setlist. just all around solid as shit, great opening, great middle, and great encore.
i am praying for night one of alpine to open with DDTW, and night 2 to open with Pig. I will be the happiest camper ever. And dying for a So Right, DT, JTR, SUAD (i know), joyride, warehouse with louie outro, ants, two step, WWYS.

You seem to be on the same wavelength as me. Fine songs, but leaving a little short. I was upset hearing both LIOG and Jimi Thing, but only because they were both 20+ minutes and I have heard them countless times. I was pumped at the idea of possibly hearing Raven or something else of that magnitude. DT was fucking great and so was So Right.

this may sound weird, but after seeing a show in burgettstown and even meeting most of the band, i'm totally ok with the fact that i didn't go to camden tonight and won't tomorrow night even though i've seen a show there every year since 03...is that odd?

i enjoyed it so much because it totally renewed my faith in the band. after the last few years and the turd of a record they put out, i hadn't enjoyed a show so much in a long time. seeing them live is what had really gotten me into them in the first place.
sure there were some songs that i was seeing for the 6th time, but i also saw LIOG and DT for the first time and they were spectacular.
i'm well past the expectation that every setlist is going to look and sound like 1996 or even 2000, but i also expect it not to sound like the last summer.
i can't wait to get back there tonight.
