I watched jazz fest I dont think he was wasted. he was just acting like himself. I have a recording of jazz fest and its an In Ear Monitor and Dave is talking telling who to solo first during the jams and he showed no signs of being wasted except when he went to the mic and talked to the crowd. I think people are confused because he acts drunk when he's sober.

seriously. he's confusing other stories. There was a story released about this, but it wasnt dave doiing the drugs and beig messed up. Trey was doing a ton of coke and I cant remember the rest of the story, but its been posted here before.

can this thread please die? there has been absolutely no credible evidence to support the notion that dave is a rampant drug addict. we all know that dave has used drugs and probably still uses drugs. i'm sure most other members of the band have as well.

i think it was in one of the charlie rose interviews dave did he said that he's been high while performing a few times, but that he can't play that way, and he prefers to be sober while performing. he's known to drink while he's performing, but i personally do not think it's to excess.

he's not out blasting lines, drinking 5 quarts of whiskey before each show.

i don't think he does drugs anymore he has a wife and kids, obviously he used to but i really doubt he does it anymore (except maybe some weed no and then)

And booze and maybe even some coke from time to time. The guy's not dead, he's a rock star. Just becasue you have kids doesn't mean you still can't party once in a while, even if it means snorting some blow and chiefing a blunt.

They've played more than one Jazz Fest. I should have said 'last year, Dave was 'straight-up wasted.' Ask around. He was very drunk during that show.

Besides, Dave arranged JTR, so I think he knows it pretty well by now. But that's pointless, because that's refering to NOJazzFest 2006.
