something about how close he and his sister were. i remember something like:

"we got to the point where her heart was in my chest and mine was in hers..."

AND...i've come to the conclusion that 95% of people at Darien lake on wednesday were idiots. These two little teenie boppers next to me heard the intro to JTR and, while i was jumping with excitement, i heard the following conversation:

"what's this song?"
"I don't know..it sounds wierd"
"do you want to split a pretzel?"
"yeah, let's go."

and then during sister most of the crowd was standing around talking, not even listening. whatever....the last three shows have been just rediculous beyond the rest of the tour even. i feel so special to have been at all 3, unfortunatly that it's for me this year.

EDIT: is Dave using different strings now or something? He's broken one every nightthis week. I've only seen like 3 or 4 broken strings in my previous 19 shows, and then one each of the last 3 nights...wierd.

It's been awhile since I've watched CP, but I don't think so. They didn't revive the Salsa Jam until the 2004 tour IIRC. It's a really old jam they played in the early 90s and then stopped playing for awhile. It comes during the jam section of the song; the song's time signature changes (to 7/8, I think?), and it's got a real Latin flair. Download the Warehouse from SPAC night 2 in gDMB and it starts at 8:17.

have you listened to the typical situation jam from night 1 SPAC? (6.16) it starts to sound very latin around 8 minutes...at least that was my first thought when i heard it. check it out

Yeah. I've had the TS from night 1 and the Warehouse from night 2 on repeat for a few hours now. Fucking incredible versions of both songs.

THAT is what annoys me most. I heard a lot of "what is this song?" and then people would just talk. And then during sister, so many people were talking i could barely fucking hear the song. I was so pissed. If I didn't know a song, whatever concert I was at, I wouldn't just stop paying attention and talk with people.

My friends were doing it on songs like JTR and the newer ones and it pissed me off to no end. Its like, WTF, your at a concert stop talking and listen. Why wouldnt u want to listen to a song you dont know? It would sound fresh and different instead of freaking out everytime Crash and Tripping Billies gets played.

This is why I like going to concerts in a small group with people who I know won't be uber gay about this sort of thing.

Really steams me.

Haha that is kind of funny that he would say that. I still stick to my guns though, decent album. I'm real excited to hear the new stuff though. The only thing I don't look forward to is the 16-year-old girl next to me that has been screaming "I love you Dave, I wanna have your babies!" turning to her friend and saying "What is this song? I've never heard it. This sucks. Let's go get a soft pretzel" when they play a new song.
