The best part of Gut The Van is Passerby, with C from Soul Farm. Amazing shit. That whole CD rocks my socks off.

i gotta sit down and tab out that solo cuz that is the shit. that is my cruising song. when school is going to long and i just need a break i crank that up and just drive.

C from Soul Farm plays that solo and he is nasty. Also I really hope Dispatch goes back on tour, or gets back together or something because if I don't ever get to see them live I am going to be really mad, because from what I've heard they are amazing. I have Gut The Van and a few live shows of their's and it's all amazing. So they better come back from hiatus...like right now!

I'd have to disagree. It's quirky, but there's never anything "the same." By that reasoning, you could say that all of Dave's stuff is "the same" because it all deals with about 4 themes and uses a certain type of chord.

Well Dispatch has broken up. Dayum. I heard that they are doing one last show in Chicago though. Looks like I'll never get to see them live.

I must also admit that I really enjoy some Dashboard. If you want to learn some of their songs that are in standard (well, Eb at least), try "Standard Lines", "Shirts and Gloves", and "Swiss Army Romance"
