Possible e-mail bug

Just got a blank e-mail from mbgreen with the subject "Marginwidth" Im assuming he didnt send it so I thought Id give you guys the heads up, not that big a deal though

I havent been experiencing that, probably a old maik that he found and decided to mail it anyway

I used to get that all the time lastmonth. forlike 2 weeks straight. every day, at least three or four of them. I would get them from "isaac" "jkanter" "dmbtabs.com" "jmtabs.com"...but just blank. i thought someone was trying to hack my computer.....lol

They're from a virus / worm. Just ignore them.

The worm that sent you that email is on someone else's computer. The latest email worms, when trying to propogate, take 2 email addresses from the infected machine's address book: one to send to, and the other to use as the "from" address.

The subject headings, so far as I've discerned, are just random strings pulled from temporary internet files.

You should be clean, and the boards are not infected.

No I totally sent that. I was trying to give you the Klez worm. Too bad you didnt bite.

Juuuussst kidding. This problem has been around for awhile. I've got klez infected emails claiming to be from jpittman, jkanter, and various other members of the boards. The virus just harvests emails from your cache/address book to put in the from field so that you'll open it - or something. I'm dont say w00t, so I dont really know.
