My brother in law is the biggest Metallica fan I know, and he loves that CD. Doesn't seem like something your typical "metal head" would like.

Plus, the die hard Metallica fans I know would much rather hear Dave Matthews, or DMB, cover a Metallica song then for Metallica to play with a symphony again ;)

A lot of Metallica fans thought playing with the symphony was a bit of a joke. A bit too "Spinal Tap" for a lot of fans.

Wow, I've never heard that before. Every Metallica fan that I know loved S&M...I don't know how you couldn't.

I actually think it was pretty weak...but that's only because I didnt think the arrangments were done well. Great idea and alot of potential, it just fell short.

I like it a lot, but I was in the minority compared to just about every Metallica fan I know when it came out. It's not like they dispised it, but they definitely didn't love it. Maybe it's just the snoody midwestern Metallica fans I know...

The one thing I was disappointed with was song choice. I think Unforgiven and Fade to Black would have had huge potential with the symphony...but we get Bleeding Me instead? Give me a break...

I love Metallica and I loved S&M and so did everyone I know who likes them. DMB playing Metallica would be interesting but I dont think it would really catch on with alot of DMB fans. If it ever did happen it would be a one time thing. Nothing Else Matters or The Unforgiven would probably sound the best.

DMB playing Metallica would be like Metallica playing DMB. Both fan bases would be "wtf?" and probably walk out

if u consider yourself a fan of a band and you walk out because of 1 out of 19 songs that doesnt make u much of a fan
