I really like Idea of You. I've pretty much stopped listening to dmb, aside from an occasional spin here and there. If the rest of the new album is consistent with the general feel of this song song, I might actually buy it. I haven't purchased a dmb album since BTCS. We'll see.

I just don't get how you don't buy anything after BTCS, but wind up on a DMB message board with 6000 posts, which was started long after BTCS, and I believe went online closely after ED, the biggest flop this band has had. I think you'd be driven further away, but eh.

So you're calling bullshit on me?

I seriously haven't purchased a dmb album since BTCS. That doesn't mean I didn't download them to see what they sounded like first. And I'm not going to do a search for you, but I'd guess at least 5500 of my posts have little or nothing to do with dmb. And finally, I started playing guitar right about when this site came on, and it was a great way to learn the songs I liked.

Why would I lie about that? That's stupid.

figures all the people that were like "dmb sucks now" are like "they are sweet" after hearing a song or two

never stopped liking them I think I made it very clear in the history of my posts.

Oh well I'm just glad to see so many people excited over them again. I had said it before and I'll say it again, one or two bad albums doesn't mean a band is done or their best years are behind them or anything. I know this new stuff isn't any BTCS or UTTAD, but it's definately an improvement from ED & SU I think we could agree. Although we have only heard a few songs so far, it definately disproves anyone saying they can't come up with decent material or anything like that.

Although I still hate Batson. I called that that was a bad idea even before any SU songs came out. I remember everyone was like "oh that could be really cool, they will have a unique sound from a rap/r&b producer". I was like "oh great, this isn't a good idea at all". It's two different worlds Batson produces shit for like Gwen Stefani and meaningless-music-posers that don't write their own songs and the average listener is 15 years old. DMB is a creative, thoughtful, talented, experienced, experimental band that pulls from each others talents and ideas to channel musical greatness. They need to be left alone, or be put in the hands of someone who can really utilize their strengths. I think we could see another BTCS or UTTAD if they drop Batson and get someone else the next time around, or decide to fly solo.
