Someone needs to step up and sort of organize it. I did the last two and frankly I don't have time to do it again. I'd also be interested in simply adding my part and waiting to see how it turns out in the end. Once there is someone who'll organize it and a song is chosen, the organizer should post updates in terms of who's contributing and the project's status. The organizer should also define how the tracks are to be formatted (MP3, sample rate, zeroed in relation to the first rhythm track, etc...)

In the past it started with someone doing a rhythm track. That person provides that to the organizer who passes it on to the nect contributor (typically the lead vocalist). That track is given to the organizer and then both tracks are passed on to the next person, and so on and so forth. At the end of it all, someone is selected to mix them all down. Myself, geekmug, and fatjack are good candidates for that. Whoever organizes it should have paid hosting to distributed the files.

Take a look at the Grey Street thread to see how it progressed:

That sounds real cool roastbeef. Id love to do the drums for it if I only knew how to do a decent recording and then transfer that to the net. Truthfully, Im probably the worst at anything on the computer. Sounds real good and I love to participate in anyway. Id like to make a suggestion of #41. Its my favorite song so I dlove to see a collab. on this. Good luck with it.

i figured you would do it roast since you started it. i know i can't do it, i don't have the time nor and i experienced enough. anyone game to run this thing? IMO, it doens't even need to be someone that has a part in the song, just someone that is really good at mixing etc.

I'm gonna organize it if you want me to...

Beauford's gonna do the drums
Roast the lead guitar
App the solo guitar
and I'll sing

What do you think of that?

we can have more than one person sing. all four of the people you listed can sing. we can do some back up vocals.

Two Step would be cool too, but I cannot play the solos neither...Roast or App would have to...
