2 ants questions

when playing the verse, what do you strum to get that percussive sound, with out making it sound bad

and can someone help me by showing the chord changes throughout the song

well I play the d chord, then move my fretting hand to the fourth fret and just lay my index across all the strings and do four muted strums then just do the little slides and move to the g and do the same on the fourth fret. as for the changes just listen to any dave solo or d&t version, you cant really help but hear exactly how the song goes and when it changes

I see Kanters tab has three so I guess that can be done, I think 4 sounds better the way I play it but no way can two sound good, sorry dmbfan63

Wierd, the only way I can get from the chord to the slides smoothly is by doing two. I don't think dave does more than two either. The storytellers version is a good version to listen to for that.

I just listened/watched the storytellers version, its deffinatley three, I happen to like playing it with four but to each his own, all I know is Dave plays three, I play four

I like the sound of three. on most songs with a mute in there i do three. like LIOG i do three. that achicka sound is really full for me. and i agree, two will leave open space......
