Thanks boys, keep 'em comin'.
By the way, anyone interested in hearing the bootleg duet I did with Kelly Clarkson on a solo version of "Because Of You"? I was so tempted, so I just went and put myself right in there with her, it didn't come out half bad. Let me know.

I actually didn't use a tab for this, I picked it out by ear. The first time I heard this song was when I mixed Whit's cover for her, I first heard the original the other day, and picked it out by ear, it's not hard. And yeah, I actually just realized that I hadn't applied the reverb to the guitar track, and I always have a hard time EQing it to get it sounding nice, but ehh, I'm tryin' not to be so nitpicky when it comes to recording anymore, at least in terms of covers. I promise, I'll have original stuff up soon.
Thanks guys.

brave man going high on those vocals in the chorus/later part of the song
Your good at doing that I struggle going high.
Strengths: Guitar is great, solid, no mistakes... irreplaceable really.
vocals: I don't for some reason I felt in some parts I really liked your singing and others I don't know. A few parts seemed like they could have packed more of a punch, to really get that emotion out there.
8/10

Hey thanks man, I appreciate it. I've always been a singer, so hitting those high notes is really nothin' for me, and you're right, I listen to this, and go "Ehh, that part doesn't really do it for me," but I've said it once, I'll say it a hundred times, my recorded voice, for some odd reason, is nothing like my actual singing and performing voice. I just can't get the mix or the EQ right or something, but I try. Thanks again dude.Grachi wrote:brave man going high on those vocals in the chorus/later part of the songYour good at doing that I struggle going high.

strum pattern was dead on, couldn't be more accurate than how you played
vocals were impressive, like someone said above, it's hard to hit howie day highs
sounds a little robotic sometimes, maybe you're just enunciating more than HD. whatev, it was really good. it's pretty rare i listen to entire covers, good job man!

Ya know, I really wish all of you guys could actually hear me do live stuff, it's so much better than all this recorded crap. Yeah, I tend to enunciate words when I record, 'cause obviously I wanna make sure they're heard. Speaking of high notes, anyone here heard my SDL cover? Talk about high notes . . .jared wrote:strum pattern was dead on, couldn't be more accurate than how you played
