GRACE IS GONE

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

yea i hit a random chord every time and all of them sound alright. i'm fine just hitting that normal d chord without the high e string, but i'm just curious to know what he's doing.....

I had the same problem a while back, but I listened to the radio solo acoustic version dave did thats on the Warehouse studio page (at davematthewsband.com too under "sights and sounds" see link below), and at that part he just plays the (X-3-2-0-3-X) three times with a picking rhythm followed by the (X-0-0-2-3-X) where he might be hammering the 2 on the G string. This goes straight into the chorus. I hope it makes sense, listen with the radio clip, good luck!

(X-3-2-0-3-X) x3 (X-0-0-2-3-X) x 1 > Chorus

Sing and dance I'll play for you tonight and thrill at it all. Dark clouds may hang on me sometimes but I'll work it out...
