I'm New

Post by Funkiest Monk »

Hey, im new but i've been reading the forum for ages without bothering to post, so don't give me any of that 'dave matthews tabs welcome to it' rubbish. (now i've said that i'll probably get loads of it).

Any way to get to my point. I don't think the folsom concert is a bad one. It features my favourite version of Don't drink the water. The power, energy and pure menace of that song is scary, so much better than the albumn version. Once you get through the first two minutes of intro and the riff comes in you'll understand. Some other highlights are when he sings 'Hell' and hits the high note so well. My favourite part is when he sings 'and i'll live with my justice ...i don't need anyone but me!

That song alone makes the concert good

Until this post I forgot about the folsom dvd, I havent watched it in forever, I guess there is a reason for that. Yesterday I watched The Gorge and Weekend on the Rocks, both of them have their moments. For some reason I feel like they all lack something listener supported had. I cant put my finger on it, I just know I watched listener supported 100's of times and every other dvd they put out just a handful of times. Its not like listener supported is the best show Ive ever heard, I just think the overall production of the dvd is good.

Pequannock, NJ? My nephew was born in Chilton Memorial back in August.

Back to the thread: I don't really like this album.

I don't like the way the concert was filmed. The choppy editing is a little annoying.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

You dont deserve a "DMBTabs, Welcome to it"[/quote]

Was that a 'you don't deserve it' as in, you suck so much you don't deserve it. Or was it a 'you don't deserve it' as in, i feel a respect for you and therefore do not reguard you as a noob 'you don't deserve it'.

I gotta say i'm holding out for the latter.
However if its the former then i am deeply hurt! Not only from a fellow dave matthews fan but from fellow brit!

Thankyou i assume you mean it in a nice way. Although to be honest i deserve it in a 'you are a noob way' for that quoting error and the double post. Oh well!

Anyway i think you guys are being a little harsh on the folsom field DVD i obviously wouldn't say it was the best but it does have its moments.

Did anyone else notice dave mess up the intro to 'if i had it all' turns out he is human!
