My First Song! (tab only so far)

Unread post by Charley27 » Thu Jan 02, 2003 9:24 pm

Hey everyone, I been playin guitar on and off for like a year, but the last 2 months I've been really really serious about it..., can play quite a few Dave songs, but lately I been just trying to be creative about playing.... I seem to be able to put things together that flow fairly easily

So here's the first one that I'm going to write lyrics for =)....
(s1) .... (s2) ... (s3) ... (s4)
--7--- -0-7-0 -0--5-- -0-3-0 This is the verse... I don't know any
--7--- -5-5-5 -3--3-- -1-1-1 any musical terms but you tap your
--5--- -6-6-6 -2--2-- -2-2-2 foot 4 times for each seperate set...
--5--- -7-7-7 -0--0-- -3-3-3
------ ------ ------- ------
------ ------ ------- ------

-x----x----x----x---- chorus, 2 foot taps this time lol, one up stroke
-8----6----8----10---- on last chord
-8----6----8----10---
-8----6----8----10---
-6----4----6----8---
-x----x----x----x----

but yeah, a lot of people i've played it for tell me they really dig itso i'm happy with it... set the tempo however you want.... slow it's very depressing, fast it's very happy .... when i get some inspiration for lyrics i'll decide slow or fast lol.... anyways feedback please =)

sounds pretty cool, are you sure about the first chord though? that doesn't sound right.
