Has anyone bothered to learn any of his songs in full on the bass? i mean it would be a pretty cool thing to show off to friends/family or whatnot but is it practical? bahaha just a thought... started learning show of hands and like 30 minutes into it i have 2 measures down! dont know how long that will last

you cant hold no groove, i can pull off pretty well. i dont see it as completely practical, it's deffiniatly fun and gives you a nice repitror (SP?) of tricks, but im really tired of hearing about wooten. marcus is my main man now, victor can't groove half as good as marcus can, and the whole signature style and grooving ability is highly underated it seems like now. but like i love the fact i can hear 10 notes from miller and know its him, with victor it could be alot harder.

i don't really think so, he wrote a lot of scores before getting acknowledged as a bassist, and the first person he recorded with was miles davis. so from the beginning he's quite a bigger name.

i can imagine that kahn was more impressed by marcus millers skill rather than the fact that he was on VH1... didnt seem that difficult to comprehend really, but yeah doin pretty good on a show of hands i must say the tapping is real fun.

off topic but screw everyone who hates 6 string basses because for me it was such a value, got the low B of a 5 string and the high C of a tenor bass... so much variation

yeah i guess he didnt use a tenor bass... ever... but yeah i know what you mean, would be pretty sweet if someone could tab that solo but i dont think i can differentiate the notes well enough... just too many of them
