First off a disclaimer, I DO NOT PLAY PIANO! With that being said, please be forgiving in your critiques. Today in the studio, I rearranged some stuff so that everything that is being recorded goes through a HHB Radius 10 tube mic preamp, omg it sounds great to me... I recorded it using the decca tree thing I used in my last post, A rode NTK mic in the middle and a stereo pair of neumann km-184's on the side, let me know what you think. I wrote this song just messing around as I was recording the piano to see how the tube preamp sounded, I looked outside and it was snowing a very heavy but calm snow, so I called it "Light Snow", the sound just seemed to fit the the scenery.
I was listening and imagining the snow outside... Amazing! You can get a really good sound from all that material.
I really loved it! Simple but great. It has just jumped into my "misc" folder of mp3.
PS: By the way, it is not extremely easy for me to imagine snow outside. At Porto de Mós, it snowed once this winter, something that didn't happen for the last 50 years...
