hunting knife onstage?

don't know if this has been talked about or if everyone know about it but supposedly on july 21,2003 some random guy that they never caught, threw a huge knife onto the stage. if anyone has ever heard about, post something. really weird shit.

yeah i remember that. in Denver i think.

carter came out for the encore wearing a football helmet or something.

they posted something on dmband.com about it, asking if you had any info to call the denver police. i guess no one ever did

i'm surprised the guy got away. if he was close enought to throw it onto the stage, he was probobly up there with the "more dedicated" DMB fans, and you'd think they'd get pissed and stop him.

he had a knife, my main goal would be not to get stabbed myself. after he threw it i might have took a course of action. but i doubt it went down like that, to where every one knew what was going on.

i would of waited for him to throw the knife, then go full out on his ass, hopfully everyone would follow suit. I would be highly pissed if someone tried to kill dave or any of the others in my presence....

I was totally at that show. I wasn't even really sure what had happend, but the break between the regular set and the encore lasted like 30-45 minutes, then Carter came out with a hardhat on. It was then that Dave told the crowd what had happened. It was messed up. I dont know why the guy did it, but I do know that they didnt come to Colorado in 2004. Punishment perhaps? The world may never know...unless someone does...then let them post the info.

I was at that show too. I believe it came from my section as well (behind the stage) Because as soon as the song ended, there were security going through the aisles waiving flashlights. Plus, given that it didnt quite make it to the guys (got stuck right behind Boyd's monotor so quite a distance from dave). Gay.

If Dave or any of the band is reading this...I would like to get that knife back. It holds sentimental value to me because my grandfather brought it back from Korea with him. The way he looked at it, this knife was my birthright. He'd be damned if any of the slopes were gonna get their greasy yellow hands on my birthright. So he hid it in the one place he knew he could hide something: his ass. Five long years, he wore this knife up his ass. Then when he died of dysentery,

its true, once he died of dysentery he gave me the knife. I hid that uncomfortable hunk of metal up my ass two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. And then, I gave the knife to hof.
