help with OSW verse

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

help with OSW verse

Post by PNP padowan »

can anyone maybe help me with the strum pattern, and tell me how to play the last two notes without hitting the b and e strings...i haven't looked at the tab for a while, but i play those two notes with my third and fourth fingers and can't mute those strings cause i always put too much pressure...thanks

hey man, i just started workin on this song too. im not a very good guitar player, so it takes me some time, but one thing that im workin on for mutting those 2 string is to keep your index finger lightly presses against all strings.

I am havin troubles gettin those last couple notes to sound correctly.
IM pretty sure pracitce it the key thing.
anna kournikova, that is all i have to say.

if you let your pinky sloppily lay across the top b and e, you should be able to mute them out.

I have my guitar in my lap now and I just played the riff to see how I mute the e and b strings. Apparently, I mute the b string with my pinky which is fretting the g-string, and I just lay my middle finger and my index finger on the other strings to mute the high e, and the low A and E.

that's me,
hope it helps

peace,
Ken
good, and you?
