Two U2 covers for the price of one !!

Post by IronMike778 »

If you're interested in hearing a couple of U2 covers, here you go.

I did New Years Day and I Will Follow.

I would love to hear some feedback.......good, bad, doesn't matter. Just curious to see what others think.

Thanks

Mike

Wow, what did you with new years day? Did you rerecord all the instruments and then sample bono's voice over it?

Ok, well apparently these were nothing special. Not a single critique from 46 views. Thanks for listening, though.

They're bloody good. So good that they sound like the original. Well done Mike.

New Years Day is just me playing over the live Under A Blood Red Sky version of the song. I made sure my guitar was noticeably louder than the song so you could hear me.

I Will Follow is just a backing track of drums and bass and me playing lead.

Miguel, I wasn't giving attitude...I hope you didn't take it that way. I just hate when people don't leave feedback to something they listen to. I don't listen to all recordings that are posted here, but when I do I almost always leave feedback. Unless it's something really bad and I can't find anything good to say.

I think you guys are missing the point, but what you've done is pay me an incredible compliment. All of the electric guitar is me. Everything. The only place you can hear the Edge is a tiny bit in the background during the muted parts on the second verse. Other than that, it's all me, I completely drown out Edge.

Listen to it again, the guitar is much louder than the song behind it. But I guess what you're telling me is that because I nailed the tone, the riffs, the solo, the mutes - everything, you can't tell the difference. That's what I was hoping to accomplish. So I guess I'm pretty psyched.

But I Will Follow is just me playing over a backing track of just drums and bass.
