the roots suck cock too. i think people judge a band by their singles or something. the roots blow. they had one good song around 98 and that is it.

i like the roots more than j5, but i still like j5, agai im waiting for someone to give a reasion why they dont like them,

im not sticking up for them , i just want to know, i know why i do like them i want to know what people dont like about them

OMG, did you not hear the whole "golden" single they had? Every rhyme scheme is the fucking same, their sound has become generic and bland. Charlie Tunafish is cool and i still like his voice, but he can;t be listened to in large doses or you;d go nuts.

they just plain ol fucking suck. Concrete schoolyard, quality control, were great, but it all just sounds the same except less exciting and new and fresh. contrary to their beliefs, they are not "golden."
oh, and their lyrical content has gone to shit.


what makes them so good?

ive listened to quite alot of there stuff and liked it, at this point it really comes down personal taste.
