i dont see why everyone hated reloaded so much. the huge orgy thingy was kind stupid, but i liked the rest of it. of course it can't compare to the original though (which i need to see again)isaac wrote:Appsoldier wrote:rantings is more like a quote hallway. awesome.now we need a quote neo and a quote agent smith and...wait...damn. been watching the original matrix too often while being sick. hehe. reloaded sucked...such dwindling hope for revolutions...thread hijack!

never said i hated it. i liked it the first time through, but the second time through made me miss the first one too. it was too CG-heavy...and it relied too much on it. the original used CG to enhance it, but it never felt like it got in the way of the movie and it helped add to it.
this one seemed too mainstream. there were too many fights thrown in for the sake of fighting, too much stunts and "ooh and ahh" moments. the plot was thin and only really showed at the end, and the conversation with the architect was just way too convaluted. it was almost like a half-ass attempt at making it as thought-provoking as the original and was totally out of place.
i'm holding off on totally putting it off until i see revolutions on my birthday. it is, after all, a movie cut in half, and the first half always is the building up...but i just wish there was more substance, especially in comparison to the first one. it had a lot of potential, but it just totally slacked off.
a good comparison on my thoughts would be this trilogy compared to the LOTR movies. Two Towers built on the first one and made the series even stronger, and after i walked out of the theaters i absolutely could not wait until Return of the King, but when i walked out of Reloaded i was so afraid of how the third one would turn out.

ahh! you're all crazy! reloaded was AMAZING, just bought it yesterday. i'll have to watch it again before i can decide which one is better. the whole thought provoking thing at the end is so confusing. i love it!
I can't believe that we would lie in our graves,
dreaming of things we might have been.
