mexican tele--- $350 at heid music and in musicians friend (make sure you play it first)

i could no where near afford an american :shock:

an epiphone les paul is good for about 500. Standard is a good sound that is an all around good sound, classic is harsher, the studio is just a stripped down version of standard, the custom is better than all of those, but much more, and the others sound fine.

If you are going to do slower rock and such, or blues, fender strat or telecaster, but I still like the sound and feel of a les paul more.


Do NOT touch a yamaha, or a squire electric, you will want to beat yourself over the head with the guitar after you buy it.

You should get a Paul Reed Smith. They are so versitile, they can make any sound that a tele, les paul, strat, or anything else can make. And it's all one guitar! But they are kinda expensive, but you can probably find one for a low amount of money.
