have fun not developing as a guitaristMWR wrote:I'm sorry but Tim is a freak. The possibility that anyone on these boards will ever be on his level is very minimal. As I stated before practice is absolutely key but it won't make you a virtuoso. Sorry if I crushed any of your dreams but it's the truth.

I'm going to keep this cordial because I like these boards and the people on them. I must state a few things though:have fun not developing as a guitarist
Don't make assumptions on my ability to develop as a guitarist. You now little of me or my ability. Your young so I understand your often pompous attitude and can overlook it most of the time. There are several people on these boards(your one of them) who's musicianship I respect and admire. Even though I don't have the means to prove it, I can assure you that when it comes to the guitar I'm your peer not some neophyte.
That being said I will once again reiterate my point as no one here seems to be able to grasp it. You can't learn the type of mastery that Tim has on the guitar no more that you can learn how to play the cello like Yo Yo Ma or write songs like the Beatles or Bob Dylan. These are people with an extraordinary ability that you don't come across on a daily basis. If what these people do could simply be learned everyone who had enough time could be a virtuoso. This is obviously not the case and that was all I was trying to say.
