how to record guitar on the computer

there is a program called goldwave, which is what I use. It seems to be the clearest that I've heard.

then you need to buy a connection from radio shack or where ever that makes your guitar cord end that size of a headphone jack in order to plug into your output of your computer. To obtain the clearest recording plug into your output, not the mic or earpiece.

i only have two slots that i se to put it in on teh hard drive, a microphone one and another that has a music symbol next to it near the microphone one

check the back of your comp. It should have one.

Also, google Audacity. It's a free recording program thats really user friendly.
