New Song

Post by Beauford33 »

Kind of a jam. Named respectivally so after our Bass Player who came up with basically the whole song on his own (All the parts)

So here is the full band take (me on lead)

i gotta tell you im not a fan of nicks basswork, seems choppy and "im slapping so i can say im slapping"-ey to me. the guitar sounds pretty great and the drums match the sound of the jam real well. i like it as a whole.

keep it up ho

im indifferent about the bass. i mean, its there, but id say the guitar and drums make the song fun to listen to. also, when the guitar cuts out for the first 'bass solo' and then stuff starts to come back in, the bassline could perfectly flow into "peace frog" by the doors.

overall, i like it

i wouldnt be surprised if youve heard it in a movie or something and just dont know it...its a shame that it is not on the Best Of Doors cd that i have. it is on the Legacy: The Absolute Best of The Doors.

Wow, couple of true funk soldiers here, that was really good. I disagree about the bass, I think that it matches really well with the style of the song, though i would be interested to hear it played more fingerstyle and less slapped. Great guitar work too, that was really groovy.

Keep it up!
