Crush help

I'm following the drop D tuning version. I'm playing the verse perfectly and then i go into the transition into verse.. but after i finish the transition it sounds like there is something else to be played right before i go into the verse? I thought this could be because i'm not strumming the transition long enough.. but i'm pretty sure i am.. it sounds like it goes to a lower chord before going into the verse.. can anyone help me? thanks.
