My Little Rhyme
I sat down last night to write a song
But I couldn’t think of anything to go off on
I thought of writing of things that make me mad
But in the end I figured it would only make me sad
Then I thought about writing of things that go wrong
About how we pick up, and how we move on
But who am, I to being giving advice
When I don’t really know what’s right
In my attempts to write something really hot
I struggled inside to get it in the first shot
But what if someone doesn’t really like it
I might get booed of stage, and really throw a fit
But then I decided, I wasn’t gonna take it
I drew the line, I don’t give a shit
About what you think, your dumb opinions
I’m gonna play what I like, and sing to it
Goddamn these boxers, they really itch
I can’t do a thing now, about it
No sense in bitching, doesn’t make any friends
Or getting anything else done in the end
You know what really kind pisses me off
Are those people outside who don’t show off
Their inner beauty, cuz they’re afraid they might
Be rejected by those who they like
Another thing that strikes me as a pain in the ass
Is the guy trying way too hard to pass
As cool in society today
Stop acting like someone your not, cuz that’s fake
But if you think that you’re exempt from this
There’s a point I’ve made that you’ve probably missed
We’re all guilty of it, at some point in time
So please take notice of my little rhyme
