Well, here we go. For all of my newfound fans here on the boards . . . "Collide," by Howie Day. I'm happier with my vocals this time (tone and mixing wise) as opposed to "A Fond Farewell." Enjoy.
Very nice, I especially liked how you sang the "even the best fall down sometimes" part. I have to go into a falsetto to hit that "down sometimes" part.
I also noticed you are playing it the way he plays it live: Capo on 3 with a D chord and a lot of hammer ons. Cool cool.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?
you know this is the only howie day song ive heard and i still think yours is actually better, your voice isnt as scratchy as his. i mean most acoustic players look for the scratchy tone yours is just a pure tone. great man! good work
take what you can from your dreams, make them as real as anything-DJM

I've only heard the album version once, I first heard this song on the "Acoustic After Dark" program on the local 105.9 station, it was this exact acoustic version, and I'm a sucker for acoustic sh*t, so . . . you know how the story ends.

Seriously. I mean, I really do appreciate it and all, but I don't see what the big deal is. If you enjoy my recorded voice THAT much (I hate it), you should hear me sing live. I'll have to do a song that is trickier on guitar next time.

I should probably sit back and accept that, seeing as it's what EVERYONE'S been telling me.
Listen man. I'm on the bandwagon now as well.. When I heard your first few songs you posted on here I was iffy. I am now however, deeply in love with you.. Bear my children..
