I don't know if I call it cheating or being more economical. I don't change things because I can't do it Dave's way I change it because I think it sounds better and/or it flows easier.

i play a lot of things differently than dave but i also wouldn't call it cheating
example - in SMTS when it slides up to the 10x710xx chord i play 10xx10xx - that kind of thing

I see no point in hitting the "7". The chord is so quick and almost unnoticeable that it really doesn't matter. I used to play 2 Step with the 10xx10xx. Dont play the song anymore.

exactly - hand is moving too fast to really set it up that well and it doesn't make that big a difference at all

The only "cheat" I use is those bar chords on Crazy-Easy and Hello Again, I have to use my ring finger to bar instead of my pinky like Dave does.

im with mlb on the billies verse, except for that C, i play 8 on the E string and 9h10 on the D as opposed to 3 on the A string and 4/5 on the G
