Post by EnFuego »

I know these are pretty similar guitars, but what are the differences. Which (in your opinion ) sounds better (is there much of a difference)? Thanks a lot for your help

Well, the Well, the diffence between the D-28 and the D-35, they are pretty similar, just more details really for the D-35. They sound pretty much the same. Now the HD modles, they will be fuller, brighter, and I don't know how but it feels more expensive and crafted. I forget what exactly they do to make it a HD, can someone fill him in?

I like the D-28 for the more bassy rytmic sound. I think because I can feel it more, and the music I play, that's the sound I want.

I have played a D-28, HD-28 and a D-35 and here are my impressions:
1. D-35 is more bassy than the D-28 without losing treble volume
2. HD-28 is slightly less bassy than the D-35 with more distinct midrange and treble response

Cheers!

I at first thought your message said you owned all of those guitars. My mistake for thinking that you suck.

HD's

Post by mpalanza »

Actually, because of the scalloped bracing used in the construction of the HD's, they're supposed to produce more low end response. As for the difference between the 28 and 35, the 35 contains the three piece back--which, from what I've been told, is contstructed of woods that are slightly more rare than the 28's--hence the three pieces.

Regardless, you can't go wrong. Especially for DMB style playing.
