Anyways, I think one of the easiest is wish you were here by Pink Floyd. Its just G, C, D, Am, G, D, C, Am repeated, except for the intro and solo

And it sounds great acoustic

If you want easy AND cool, you can't go wrong with Nirvana. And Go With the Flow by QOTSA is easy as hell (both parts), although it sounds much better layered, so it's a good one to do with a friend. And there's always the old standbys, like Glycerine (Bush) and Lightning Crashes (Live)

I don't think there is one generic "easiest song to play" because thousands upon thousands of songs are built off the same basic chord structures.
