When dave plays this satelite with tim...does he palce his palm at the bottom of the strungs to give it that muted sound.....or does he do something different?
I remember when i was learning satellite, i thought that dave was using his fretting hand to mute the notes. I thought he was just hitting the fretboards with his right and picking with his left. Good thing i figured out he was palm muting cause it was getting really frustraiting

i just play it palm musted cause i'm learning it and you can play it pretty sloppy and have it sound ok if you are palm muting it

I think i palm mute the whole song except for the last run through before the chorus when dave and tim both play really loud i.e. L@lc.

#41 is quite possible the hardest stretch for me ever, the chord he hits right before the last one, the higher C, destroys my hand. The one where you have to dislocate your pinky to play that note on fret #8.
