looking to purchase an acoutic electric guitar. i've been looking at a few of the alvarez models. i'd like to spend no more than $400, which i know limits my options but i'm not a die hard. just want something louder that i can plug in. any thoughts/suggestions? thanks. da

i'd suggest the AD60SC, that's what I got and I love it. I got mine brand new for I think around $360 shipped, but you can get a new previous model for around $300 even. then you can bring it in and get the saddle and nut replaced and you have a bad ass guitar for $400
or look ionto some tak EG series.

The RD's are nice for a cheap guitar, but you will out play that thing fast. I consider them the best cheap guitar you can get, and the AD60SC the best bang for your buck lower mid range guitar.
i think they are suppeed to retail around $500
also look at the AD80SC, i dont think they make it anymore, but it is beautiful and sounds great.
