Plush (acoustic) - First recording post
Just messin' around with the new M-Audio MobilePre USB, I love this thing. So my first endeavor, one of my favorite songs, albeit a lousy one vocally for me, this isn't really my style vocally, I'm more of a smooth vocal most of the time. Samson R11 mic (no idea as to the quality of this thing, it sounds alright) --> MobilePre --> Cool Edit 1.2 --> .wav --> CDex --> .mp3. Of course, feedback is welcome, this wasn't a hardcore recording endeavor, this was just me playin' with the new toy. Love the MobilePre. Thanks guys.

Based on the criteria (just messin around) I thought it was a really good recording. Vocally, I felt like you were trying to make your voice something it wasn't and if you would have "let it be" so to speak, it would have sounded better. Guitar and recording quality....awesome. I wish my recordings sounded so clear and crisp, yet produced at the same time.

You're right, vocally, I'm usually more smooth and soulful, but Plush is my friend Kim's favorite song, so . . . yeah. With regards to recording quality, I'm incredibly anal about sound (you should ask the girls in our church band about me and soundcheckslongleggedfrog wrote:Based on the criteria (just messin around) I thought it was a really good recording.
