dave on strat

iv been a fan of dave's guitar playing for years now. i think that he is so inventive and under-rated as a guitar player.

why is it that he never busts out with some kind of guitar solo. i know thats not his style or whatever but i know for a fact, if he wanted to, he could solo and it would prob be awesome. anyone have any examples of him soloing? anybody agree or disagree?

dave has said himself he cant solo for crap and feels like an idiot when he tries.

Just goes to show that some people got it and some people don't got it. At leasts he's got the humility to say "I can't do that well" .. gotta resepect an artist that can admit to and point out his / her weak spots.

I think Dave doesn't even have to play solo's on a 6st, 'cuz the man can scat like hell. HA!

he does, live mainly. he played a solo at the show I was at recently. I dont think it is in his best interest to do so though, his role in the band is to sing and play a rhythm style guitar, not all those plus a lead part on top of it, at least live he doesnt do that. In the studio he could be he just doesnt.
