grey street blows on LWS. I hate boyds violin so much.

Crash was what got me hooked but BTCS is by far the best musically.
When is Boyd ever anything but the weakest link? I just love the structure of that song on LWS.

Does anyone else think that Some Devil is better than a LOT of CDs out there, including some DMB ones?

The songs are incomplete, it was never released, dave pisses and moans his way through half of the songs, they are all still very rough. They aren't polished at all. The reason BTCS is so good is the production is absolutely perfect. It's just a pleasure to listen to for most. LWS is just dreary. I agree with you that they were on their way to making a great album, but the songs are not finished. Listen to Raven, Captain, Monkey Man, Grey Street, etc. Just rough. Fun to listen to, definatley, but not mindblowing like BTCS. I also think another reason so many people have a boner for it is because it retains the allure that it's out of our reach. It's like people want what they can't have. Just my money.
I couldn't agree more.

Its good, but I think a lot of the songs are only done justice live whereas others are butchered live. I made a mix of some devil for my mom, and songs like Dodo, Save Me, and Stay or Leave I inserted the live versions in their place. Songs like Oh, So Damn Lucky, and Up and Away have great album versions but are subpar live. I kept those album versions.

I think the version done with Trey and Orchestra Baobob was amazing!

I am a big fan of Some Devil. As scary a thought of DMB breaking up is, this gives me confidence that we will get great music from Dave for years to come.

Yeah, If only I could find an mp3 of it. Done with D&F, tim's slide playing destroys the song.
