Sounds really good! What kind of guitar are you playing?
Its cold as hell outside
But our fire is bright
And in your eyes
I can see what is on my mind
You got me wild
Turned around inside

How much did you pick that 410 up for, if I may ask? List price is around $1,500.

that 410 sounded NICE, though. by the way, your Tripping Billies was dead on Standard tuning - I thought you mentioned that you weren't sure if it was or not.
good, and you?

Martin's own Taylors!!!!!!!!!! I would take a Martin over a Taylor any day of the week and I have both! Taylors look gorgeous and play easy, but Martin's have their own simple beauty and the sound is as good as acoustic gets. Most well rounded guitar out there...my Gibson is nice too, but Martin just takes the cake...I would put my HD-35 up against ANY acoustic out there.

oustanding

Post by seel98 »

I thought his version was excellent. Someone made the comment on all along the watchtower as an example of someone taking a song and doing "their" version. I really enjoy Dave's version to, but its not real different than hendrix's. Of course Hendrix did more improve and what not, however, its not like dave completely revamped. Watchtower has been done by a lot of artists and i don't think their is really much room to create your own version. As far as his version of Bilies, well he is a very talented and the song was outstanding. Not sure if you can do your own version of billies. I enjoy listening to it and i use it as a teaching tool which i would like to thank for him placing it on the board...

fantastic job

Post by kandyman »

Just registered on the site, just listened to your Trippin Billies, its fantastic. i've been playing for about a year and am beginning to pick up some of Dave's songs but still have trouble getting down his rhythms and the way he mutes his strings. Anyway, great job. How long have you been playing for?
